Upgrade to The Blogs at Penn State Service Scheduled for November 4

On Thursday November 4, 2010, during the regularly scheduled maintenance window (5:00-7:00 a.m.), Information Technology Services (ITS) will perform an upgrade to the technology that powers The Blogs at Penn State service. During the upgrade, The Blogs at Penn State Service will not be available.

This upgrade will bring stability and performance enhancements but will not effect functionality.

Update: During the upgrade, tests were run and a feature was found to stop working properly, so the software and database data were reverted to the backup state before the change. The blog service was restored at 6:54 a.m.

This upgrade will be revised and rescheduled for another day.
